UK Brick is bringing Scandinavian clay to London landscapes. And with the world’s most exclusive bricks to hand, our indulgent brick collections have quickly caught the attention of architects and developers nationwide.
And by teaming up for landmark builds, the UK Brick collections are helping to win some of the countries most prestigious architectural awards. We’re proud to share that Archdaily has nominated The Compton for Building Of The Year 2021. This building oozes style; it’s already enhanced London’s skyline, and positioned itself as an iconic UK build. And whatsmore, we are ecstatic that it features our Ultima Linear brick in Mid Grey!
The Regal Homes & UK Brick collaboration has set a new precedent for London living. Say hello to The Compton; this prestigious development rubs shoulders with the Lords Cricket Grounds, and oozes understated confidence. The design plays with masculine and feminine contradictions, and The Compton perfectly encapsulates the new age of British architecture. The extraordinary design has been echoed in the materials chosen; each waterstruck brick tells a unique story, and collaboratively, they have harmonised into an unforgettable finish.
London’s construction scene is seriously exciting. The capitals 2021 skyline is so much richer with the likes of The Compton too. Featuring our elongated waterstruck bricks, this luxury apartment block plays with materials like no other. The brick specification was uncompromising, and only the best materials were considered. A consistent surface texture, warm tone and smooth clay finish was needed. Quality was paramount, and nothing less than brilliance would make the cut. An unique personality, and a sense of individualism, rounded off with technical excellence. This is where we perform best, so naturally, our Ultima Linear collection delivered.
The architect's vision was bold, and UK Brick responded. To achieve the unique curved frontage design, we developed an innovative radial brick. With the bespoke technical spec perfected, elongated Ultima Linear bricks in Mid Grey were selected. Surface texture, personality, and an indulgent design-led feel have fast made these bricks an architects favourite.
For those seeking a beautifully designed home in one of London’s most prestigious postcodes, The Compton offers the perfect solution. Featuring luxurious interiors by award-winning designer Kelly Hoppen MBE, and strikingly elegant architecture by Simon Bowden Architects, the series of one, two and three-bedroom apartments and three-bedroom penthouses raise the bar for city living. The accompanying roof terraces have been crafted with style and relaxation in mind; every material, and every space, has been carefully considered. The resulting design is both practical and indulgent. The resulting homes are simply extraordinary.
Completed in 2019, The Compton is set in the exclusive neighbourhood of St John's Wood, a short stroll from Regents Park. The 49 luxurious apartments and outstanding residents' facilities were designed in collaboration with Kelly Hoppen. The results are exceptional, and the standard is setting a new bar for architecture nationwide. Choosing the building of the year will be no easy feat. That said, The Compton would be a fine winner.
We’re looking forward to seeing how our cities will change, grow and evolve in 2021 and beyond. But for now, we’re taking a moment to pause. Let’s celebrate the enhanced skyline in our capital, and pop a bottle to the inspiring achievement that is The Compton.
We won’t stop for long though. More builds than ever are calling for the best materials. And we’re proud to be the architects number one choice for bricks. We ensure our bricks have a long brick life.
