Domaine Evremond, Kent

A refined brick-led design for Domaine Evremond, using our Winter White Linear bricks to create a soft, textured façade that blends with the landscape.

Set in the heart of the Kent countryside, Domaine Evremond is the first English vineyard from Champagne Taittinger - a collaboration that brings French winemaking heritage to British soil. The brickwork on the new winery and visitor centre creates a beautiful, modern space that reflects the landscape and the Taittinger family’s ethos of quality.

Who We Worked With

UK Brick were approached by Stiff + Trevillion Architects in London and Pace Architecture in Paris, working on behalf of Taittinger, to develop the architectural vision for Domaine Evremond. We supplied bricks to Arkay Building Contractors, supporting the project from early design stages through to delivery.

Our involvement included several detailed consultations with both design teams to understand their aesthetic and technical requirements. Working closely with the architects, we created a series of bespoke sample panels using different mortars and tones, helping to refine the palette and achieve the subtle, sophisticated finish the project demanded.

What Brick Was Chosen

After an extensive selection process during, the planners approved the beautiful Winter White Linear bricks from our range.

Chosen for their pale tone, fine texture, and slender profile, these long-format bricks provided the crisp geometry and high quality that define the building’s facade. Their horizontal emphasis complements the vineyard’s landscape, while the narrow coursing gives depth and variation across the elevations.

The brickwork itself is highly detailed, featuring a perforated pattern that balances transparency with solidity and filters light into the building.

The Result

The finished winery captures the spirit of both French and British craftsmanship. Its contemporary design sits naturally within the Kent countryside, framed by the chalky soils that make the region ideal for wine production.

Thanks to close collaboration between all partners, including the local planners at Chilham, the outcome is a building that feels rooted in its setting and reflects the quality of Domaine Evremond’s wines.

At UK Brick, we’re proud to have supplied materials that helped bring this unique Anglo-French project to life.
